The Pre-Kindergarten program is specifically designed for those children who will be entering Kindergarten the following September.  

In this program, your child will play, have fun, mold friendships, share, follow directions, take turns, use their manners and show respect for all. 

They will learn independent thinking, reinforce colors, shapes and rhyming.  They will reinforce concepts such as in front/behind, on top/below, next to, beneath, etc.  They will do lots of writing, cutting, pasting, puzzles and manipulatives. 

Their projects will include:

• Judaic customs, holidays, traditions and Shabbat celebration
• Weather, friendships, animals, cooking, puppetry
• Gym time, Music time, Craft time
• Job sharing, mitzvot
• Theme days, outdoor playtime and nature walks

They will learn ALL letters.  We will focus on Phoenemic Awareness and learn many pre-K sight words.  They will learn numbers 1 through 31, calendar recognition and writing. 

NEW GETTING READY TO READ will also explore math, science, social studies, academic centers, and many hands on manipulative assignments. 

Our goal is to make sure that every child is prepared for Kindergarten after leaving our Pre-K program.  We want your child to love learning and love going to school.  We will nurture them and care for them as we would our own children.  You can always count on the love, the warmth and the T.L.C. at Sons of Israel!
